went to a informal tournament a couple saturdays ago and it rained all day.

we got wet and i shot horrible.

there was a gong with a 2 inch hole in it and this chick put five arrows in a row through the hole!

she was awsome.

but i redeemed myself yesterday when my buddy and i were practicing.

we were taking all kinds of wierd shots spontaineously so there was no time to get comfortable with the range or angle of the spot we were shooting from.

i would start crouched behind a mound of dirt where i could not see the target and Tim would pick which target i would aim at and say go.

then i had to stand and shoot as quick as i could and get a solid hit.

it was very realistic training.

i dont think i will shoot any other way any more.

standing at a given range and shooting over and over just does not prepare you for hunting.

even in competition you have to judge distance and shoot only one or two arrows at most, before moving on to a new target.
