Alright,
I went to the ACTS match (American Federation of Tactical Shooters) last weekend and the stages were tough! (www.actshooters.com)
The match was held at Centerline of Calhoun County in Bellevue, Michigan. (www.CenterlineofCalhoun.org)
Check here for a detailed description of the stages, some pics, and video… (arfcom post). Thanks Tfin04 for the great pics. Tfin04 is an ACTS regular and man can he shoot!
Well, Andy’s leaving for the Army in a few weeks so we won’t see him at a match till fall at the earliest. Good luck Andy and stay safe my friend!
I did take some video, but I was so preoccupied with shooting that I didn’t get much video. Thanks to my mew shooting buddy Frankie2Times for helping out and videoing me. Through some crazy miracle he shot quite a bit better than me (I guess apparently shooting hostages is a bad thing) but I plan on fixing that mext month.
The long stage is the only one I did halfway decent on. I’m the second shooter on the video. Check it out…
With the cost of ammo jumping since November I decided to switch to a 22lr upper. I bought a new surplus 1in12 barrel (slower rifling twist for the lighter 22lr bullets), and a 22 conversion unit from Spike’s Tactical – review coming soon, I’m still waiting for the package from Spike’s. So next month instead of spending 40 bucks on rifle ammo I will only spend about 4 bucks! The ACTS leadership created a new catagory just for rimfire guns. The training value is diminished but at least I am still training.
Stay tuned…
